Jason and I met on a blind date… Jason’s Aunt works for Washington County and I work for the Washington County Court System, so we had a lot of interaction. Upon learning that I was single, she pushed for me to meet her ‘kind, respectful, handsome, single’ nephew. And I said NO!! Haha! I finally gave in, and we reluctantly met, expecting it to be a disaster, which is the way most blind dates end. It’s so funny, because from the moment we met each other, we knew something was different. By the fourth date, I knew I was going to marry him. I didn’t share that with Jason until much later into our relationship. 🙂 We still feel as if our souls have been connected all our lives, and that everything was meant to happen that way it did.
On of our favorite memories was our ceremony, as that was the part of our day that was most important to us – We’re both religious and took being married in the Catholic Church very seriously. Being surrounded by our closest family and friends was wonderful for us, as we’re both so family oriented. It’s not often that you get to have all of your favorite people in one room with you! And of course, our father/daughter and mother/son dances…walking down the aisle with my dad, as well as listening to his welcome speech, was like a shining light on that day that I’ll never forget. I’ve never been a ‘daddy’s girl’, per se, but I have such a close relationship with my dad, that I know I’ll always treasure. I’m actually crying, just typing!! Lastly, our photo session outside the church always live on as one of our fondest memories of that day! “
