Christina and Tom

How We Met:

We met at a funeral through a mutual friend, who happened to be the funeral home director.

Christina worked closely with Mr. O’Brien and the family to finalize arrangements for a good friend in the summer of 2015. They worked together to make the best of a tragic situation and help bring closure to family and friends. Mr. O’Brien knew Tom and convinced him to come to the viewing to help out that day and to ultimately introduce him to Christina.

Shortly after all of this, Tom reached out to Christina to offer support during this time of grief. They became fast friends who unexpectedly fell in love and have spent nearly every day together ever since. Being private people, the proposal was sweet and simple in their home. As the linchpin to our story, Mr. O’Brien was the Best Man in the wedding!

Favorite Moments of the Big Day from Christina:

  • Walking down the aisle and seeing so many loved ones there, especially with COVID (masked and socially distanced of course)! It was overwhelming, especially seeing our parents crying happy tears in church.
  • Meeting and talking with our guests at the ceremony and reception and feeling their genuine happiness for us.
  • The energy from the Cleveland Keys and seeing Tom dance for the first time at his own wedding (haha)!
  • Every interaction with Nicole and the staff at the Edgeworth Club-they are just amazing people and their service is impeccable.

Favorite Moments from Tom:

• Meeting my dad before the wedding mass in the back of the sacristy and him breaking down with joys of tears
• Uniting with my family before entering the church and seeing how great everyone looked.
• Watching my nephew come down the aisle as the ring bearer starting the ceremony.
• Standing in an amazement as Christina walked down the aisle in all her beauty.
• Hearing Christina’s Dad’s speech speaking so highly of me at the reception.
• Showing Christina for the first time I could dance at the reception.
• Dancing with Christina and reforming our first dance with our rehearsed dip at the reception.
• Dancing with my mother during the mother & son dance at the reception.
