How we met:
Aaron and I started dating during our senior year of high school. A mutual friend convinced us it would be “funny” if two people with the same name started dating. Little did we know how much chemistry was actually between us. As high school came to an end, we made the decision to stay together throughout college. We would both be away from home, in two different states, five hours away from each other. We stuck out the long distance for four years until we both graduated and moved back home. The long distance years were incredibly hard, but so worth it. And it all led to now, high school sweethearts finally married after almost eight years together!
The wedding day:
By far the best part of our wedding day was our first look. This was such a special moment for us. It made the day so fun being able to spend most of it together before the ceremony even happened.
We are lucky enough to have a couple close friends that also happen to be in the wedding industry. Asking them to be a part of our day was a no brainer. Our ceremony guitarist, Doug, is a long time music mentor of Aaron’s. Having Doug play songs that mean so much to us was incredibly special. Our florist, Brigette (who happens to be Doug’s wife), was one of the first people we contacted for our wedding. She went above and beyond what we expected, making the flowers and decor something we won’t ever forget.
The night was absolutely perfect. It was everything Aaron and I could’ve hoped for. Our favorite people were there to celebrate us and share our joy. It was filled with laughter, a few happy tears, and lots of dancing!
