How we met: ‘Twas love at first swipe – Braden and I met on a dating app in NYC. On our first date, I was immediately struck by the palpable chemistry between us. The conversation flowed, and we both felt an immediate emotional connection. Over the course of the next few months, Braden’s kindness, patience, and sweet disposition solidified the relationship. We dated long-distance for a few years, and I eventually joined him in Pennsylvania.
The proposal: Braden had scheduled a trip to NYC for us to watch the U.S. Open tennis championship. I nearly cancelled the trip due to work, however, at Braden’s insistence, I made my flight. On Saturday evening on our way to dinner, I noticed we were headed to Lincoln Center, one of our favorite date spots when we first met. Upon arrival, he asked if we could just walk around for a bit. Somewhat puzzled, I agreed. He led me in front of the fountain at Lincoln Center and got down on one knee and proposed. I said yes without hesitation.
The wedding: NYC or Texas – venue TBD.
